Achievements

° We have moved in April 2009 into new premises which will support a range of in-house activities, includeing: inhouse recording studio, video editing, visual arts room, course training room and office space for work placements.

° National Open College Network (NOCN) has given the go ahead to provide awards and certificates to pre 16 year olds and post 16 at national level in: Visual Arts, Music Technology, Video Editing, Studio Recording, Film Making, Working with Others, Project Management, Marketing, Communication and Health and Safety. The various units will be available to schools, youth service, referral organisations and employers to develop essential skills for students and employees to meet employment needs.

° The organisation is also an approved Training Centre through NOCN and has developed and delivered BTEC Level 1 in Asian Classical Music, Studio Recording.

° We have completed level 1 PQASSO with CVS and completed Internal Verifier Course with OCNNWR.

° Established the Rochdale Borough Mega Mela (Multicultural festival), which for over 15 years has provided opportunities for local, regional and international talent and has attracted over 10,000 people over two days.

° Organised national tours with classical artists and local musicians to perform at Bridgewater Hall, Philharmonic Hall, Colston Hall, Bristol and People’s Theatre, Newcastle.

° Gained experience through developing 3 years cultural exchange programmes with Lahore, Pakistan with local teachers, artists and performers. European Mela Network (Secretary)

° Established the European Mela Network, with support from the Arts Council England - North West to assist other melas and festivals in quality information and sharing good practices. MAMC´s Chief Executive works on the executive board of the Network. He was also been selected on a Cultural Leadership Programme and mentored by Artistic Director from Lowry Theatre.

° National touring of Visual Arts exhibition from Balochistan at festivals, galleries and Melas across the country.
