Cultural Arts Exchange Programme

Multicultural Arts & Media Centre

MAMC in the past 7 years has been employing artists from Pakistan to do workshops, handicraft exhibitions and touring in UK. In January 2008, Mr M Sarwar visited India on a Cultural Leadership Programme with members from European Mela Network to develop exchange programmes with arts and media organisations.

Primary objective is to establish and develop long-term working relationships with the co-operation of arts and media organisations in South Asia. This is to improve, enhance and promote arts and cultural exchange between the countries and assist in the development of a clear infrastructure to support future exchange opportunities, including training, performances and exhibitions.

This partnership has enabled us to provide new opportunities, skills, networking and participation within the region, in schools, community centres, galleries, melas and festivals across the country.

The strategies developed in the future will benefit teachers, students, artists, organisations and promoters at both a national and international level.

If you are an arts or media organisation or an artist interested in any of the projects, please send your details to: info@mamc.org.uk
