Introduction
Welcome to our New Premises.
Multicultural Arts & Media Centre (MAMC), is a community arts and media development organisation formed in 1987. It has been involved in providing high quality arts, media training and festival work for over 20 years.
In 1994 it registered as a charity, and in June 1996, it opened a unique Arts and Media Centre, in its current premises, to develop quality creative activities, events, exhibitions, accredited training and event management in the Rochdale Borough, North West region and Nationally.
We have recently acheived Training Approved status with National Open College Network to provide pre 16 and 16+ short courses regionally and nationally.
Our Mission Statement
“MAMC is a non-profit making organisation which works to raise standards of achievement and the quality of learning in the chosen area of the arts and media for all learners and audiences, leading to better understanding, skills and career opportunities, particularly with disadvantaged groups”.
Objectives
The core objectives of MAMC are:
"The Charity´s objects are to advance within the Borough, North West and Internationally, the education of the public in the understanding and appreciation of Multicultural Arts and Media education in all its forms".

MAMC has a new Management Committee, who has various experiences to develop the services of the organisation.

MAMC is oferring free "Working with Others" accredited course for people over 19+, including artists, volunteers, project managers, youth leaders and arts organisations from 28th May 2009 at MAM Centre from 1.15pm to 4.00pm. The aim is to provide skills and confidence in project management, team building, marketing, budgets, health and safety.

MAMC is currently developing the Rochdale Borough Mega Mela 2009. We are looking for multicultural performers, talent, volunteers, arts organisations, young people's groups, sports teams, visual artists to help us plan the multicultural event in July 2009.
